Our History

Mississippi Health Alliance (MHA), LLC was founded in 2012 to fill the gaps between organizations and the communities they serve. MHA accomplishes its mission by partnering with organizations to create strategies and solutions that transform the delivery of services. MHA has over 30 years of combined experience in healthcare administration and delivery, research and evaluation, grant writing, and capacity building assistance.

Meet the CEO

Dr. Christopher R. Roby, a native of Shelby, Mississippi is currently the CEO of Mississippi Health Alliance, LLC. in Byram, MS. Dr. Roby also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Community Health Center Association of Mississippi, Chief Executive Office of Building Communities of Excellence, and as an Adjunct Faculty of Health Care Administration at Jackson State University. Dr. Roby holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Mississippi Valley State University, a master’s degree in Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Jackson State University.and an Adjunct Faculty at Jackson State University.

He is a highly motivated professional with public health and behavioral science experience in the areas of research and evaluation, public health management, leadership and grant development. Dr. Roby has, 25 years of professional administrative experience; exceptional knowledge of scientific practices, and capacity building assistance. He has been a community activist for the LGBTQ community while lending support to individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

Dr. Roby has managed 25 prevention interventions projects involving smoking cessation, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, breast/cervical/prostate cancer, and HIV/STIs. Dr. Roby has also developed various quality improvement workgroups for HIV/AIDS and Hypertension Projects. Dr. Roby’s work currently focuses on Ending the HIV Epidemic in support of Mississippi’s federally qualified health centers.
